Terms of Use

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This is a translation. If it differs from the Croatian text, the Croatian text applies.

Draft: this text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

These terms govern the use of Bela Online (the website and apps). By creating an account and accepting the terms you enter into a contract with us on these terms. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. When you play as a guest (practice against the bots, or a table someone invited you to, with a nickname), the rules of conduct in these terms apply to you.

1. Provider

[Ime i prezime ili naziv obrta/tvrtke], [Ulica i broj, poštanski broj i grad], Hrvatska, email [kontakt@domena.hr] ("we"). This email is also our point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065); write to us in Croatian or English.

2. What Bela Online is

Bela Online is a free service for playing Bela (Belot) and other social games online with other players or bots, with statistics, profiles and table chat.

It is not gambling. No money is paid in, no cash or other prizes can be won, and points, results, frames and other in-game marks have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money. Using the service for betting or playing for money is forbidden, including arrangements between players outside the service.

Coins are earned by playing and can only be spent on in-game looks (tables, card backs, avatars, frames). They have no monetary value and cannot be cashed out or moved to another account. We may remove coins and items gained by cheating or abuse. When you delete your account, its coins and items are deleted too.

3. Who can register

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • One person may have one account. Your account is personal; you may not sell, lend or share it.
  • The information you give us must be accurate and the email address must be yours.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done from your account. If you think someone else is using it, change your password at once and contact us.

4. Username and profile

Other players see your username and profile. They must not be offensive, vulgar, discriminatory or promotional, impersonate another person or us, or contain other people's personal data. We may change such a name or ask you to change it.

5. Rules of conduct

At the table and in chat you must not:

  • cheat: use programs or bots that play for you, reveal cards to your partner outside the game, collude with opponents, lose on purpose to boost someone's statistics, or play several accounts at the same table;
  • threaten, persistently harass someone, or incite hatred or violence;
  • send spam, ads or links to harmful sites;
  • post illegal content or other people's personal data;
  • deliberately abandon or stall games to spoil them for others;
  • attack or overload the service, bypass protections, scrape data or exploit bugs (please report bugs to us, thank you!).

6. Reports and moderation

We do not censor chat: there is no list of banned words and no automatic content filtering. The only limits are there to stop spam: a message has at most 200 characters, you can send at most 5 messages in 10 seconds, and you cannot repeat the same message straight away. You can send at most 3 sounds in 15 seconds and at most 3 voice messages (up to 15 seconds each) in 30 seconds.

You can report illegal content or breaches of these terms to [prijave@domena.hr]. Say what you are reporting, where it is (table, username, time) and why you think it is a problem. We review reports by hand, promptly and impartially.

If someone breaks the terms, depending on how serious and repeated it is, we may remove a message or name, temporarily disable chat or play, or permanently close the account. We will tell you, with the reasons for the decision, unless doing so would hinder preventing serious harm or an investigation. You can contest the decision by replying to that notice or by email, and we will review it again. You can also go to court.

7. Your content

Messages and other content you post stay yours. You allow us to show them to other players and keep them as long as the service needs, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you post.

8. Availability and changes

We try to keep Bela Online running without interruption but cannot guarantee it. The service may stop because of maintenance, failures or circumstances beyond our control, and a game in progress may then be lost. We may change and develop the game and its features. If we decide to shut the service down, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance and let you download your data.

9. Termination

You can permanently delete your account at any time in your account settings, which ends the contract. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the law, as described in section 6.

10. Intellectual property

The software, design, graphics and texts of the service are protected and belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service to play in line with these terms. The rules of Bela and traditional playing cards belong to no one; our graphic rendition of them does.

11. Liability

The service is free and provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost games, results or statistics caused by interruptions or errors, or for the behaviour of other players. This does not limit our liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

12. Changes to the terms

We may change the terms when the service or the law changes. We will tell you about material changes in advance in the app or by email, and you will need to accept them to keep playing. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Croatian law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of that country's mandatory law. Disputes go to the court that has jurisdiction under the law; as a consumer you can also sue us in the courts where you live. Please contact us first; most things can be settled by agreement.

14. Contact

Send questions, reports and requests to [kontakt@domena.hr].
